Emily Machan is a 25 year old fashion and portrait photographer based in Calgary, Canada. Emily grew up as an expat in Shanghai, traveling through Asia and around the world. She was inspired by her upbringing surrounded by the arts, music, and dance. 

Emily discovered her love of photography and fashion through her involvement in school arts class, photoshoot with friends, and participating in Shanghai Film and Arts festivals. 

Emily works her photography to achieve a strong sense of storytelling and to capture emotions that words cannot describe. She has created her own photography business, shooting models for their portfolio and creative shoots, in-studio and on-location, multiple branding shoots, and her work has been profiled in a few photography magazines.
